Disc finishers provide a quicker method of finishing than standard vibratory finishers. The rotating spinner at the bottom of the chamber rotates between 60-250 RPM. This spinner accelerates the parts/ media against the stationary wall of the bowl and pushes the mass upward along the bowl wall. With decreasing acceleration and increasing gravity the mass slides back down to the spinner where it again is accelerated. Depending on spinner RPM and water level in the bowl the finishing applications range from aggressive grinding to gentle high gloss polishing. The centrifugal disk finishing offers grinding performance 10 to 30 times higher/faster than vibratory bowl methods!
